Installing Dreamteam Sales Plugin in Claude
Last updated: October 30, 2026
It is ten past nine and your first call is at half past. You want to know what is on today, which deals need you, and what was said last time you spoke to this customer. All of that is in Dreamteam, and you are already in Claude.
Dreamteam Sales is a Claude plugin. It adds eight sales skills and the Dreamteam CRM connector, which is the piece that links Claude to your CRM. You ask in plain words, such as "Brief me on my day", and Claude answers from your Dreamteam workspace. It is held to your own Dreamteam permissions, and it asks before it changes anything. Setup takes a few minutes.
Before you start
You will need:
An active Dreamteam CRM account.
A paid Claude plan: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise.
On Team and Enterprise plans, the Dreamteam CRM connector added for your organisation by an Owner. The steps for that are at the foot of this article.
You do not need your workspace name or a web address. The plugin brings its own Dreamteam CRM connector, so there is nothing to look up or paste in.
Customize or Plugins? Claude is moving to a new layout. From 29 October, and from 30 November on Enterprise, Customize in the sidebar becomes Plugins, and a single Plugins page holds your plugins and your connectors instead of separate tabs. If your sidebar says Plugins, click that and find Dreamteam Sales there. Every button and setting named below keeps its name.
Installing the plugin
Open the directory. In Claude, on the web or on desktop, click Customize in the left sidebar, open the Plugins tab, then Discover.
Add Dreamteam Sales. Find Dreamteam Sales, select it to see what it contains, and click Add. The skills are on your account from that moment.
Connect Dreamteam. Open the plugin and select its Connectors tab. If Dreamteam CRM says Not added, add it. If it says Not connected, connect it. The Dreamteam sign-in page opens: sign in with your username and password, or with Google, and approve the access request. If you belong to more than one Dreamteam workspace, sign in to the one you want Claude to use.
That is it. When Dreamteam CRM says Connected, you are set. It also appears under Customize, then Connectors.
The skills load as soon as you add the plugin, but they cannot reach Dreamteam until the connector says Connected. If you ask something before then, Claude has the skills but nothing to read from.
On Team and Enterprise plans, if you cannot add the connector yourself, ask an Owner to add it for the organisation. You then connect with your own account.
After installing
Set tool permissions
A tool is one thing Claude is allowed to do in your CRM, such as look a record up or save a change. You decide which of them Claude may use without asking you first.
Go to Customize, then Connectors, select Dreamteam CRM, and under Tool permissions set each group of tools, or a single tool, to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. These are the settings to use:
Tools | What they do | Setting |
|---|---|---|
The reading tools, such as | Look up your records, your pipeline stages and your teammates. They change nothing. | Always allow |
| Add a record, change a record, or give a task to a teammate. | Needs approval |
| Delete a record, or change many records at once. Dreamteam Sales never uses either of them. | Blocked |
Two things worth getting right. Claude may list object_delete in the same group as the tools that add and change records, so set that one to Blocked on its own rather than setting the group. And do not set the adding and changing tools to Always allow, because Claude would then save changes without stopping to ask you.
On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner may have set these for everyone already. An Owner's settings apply to the whole organisation, and a member cannot override them.
Turn the connector on in a chat
Click + in the message box, select Connectors, and check that Dreamteam CRM is switched on. While it is off, Claude cannot use it in that chat, however the permissions are set.
Use it
Start a new chat and ask for what you want, for example "Brief me on my day". Claude picks the right Dreamteam skill by itself. To choose one yourself, type / in the message box and pick a Dreamteam Sales skill from the list.
It works in chat on the web, on desktop and on mobile once the plugin is added.
Adding or changing a record takes two approvals. Dreamteam Sales first shows you exactly what it is about to save and waits for you to confirm in writing. Claude then asks separately to approve the tool, where you choose Allow once. Nothing reaches your CRM until both have happened.
What you can ask
Skill | Try asking |
|---|---|
Daily brief | "Brief me on my day", or "What is overdue?" |
Pipeline health | "How is my pipeline?" |
Meeting prep | "Prep me for my next meeting" |
View a record | "Show me my largest open deal", or "Who is Jordan Blake?" |
Draft an email | "Draft a follow-up email for my biggest deal" |
Update a record | "Move the close date of my largest open deal to the last day of next month" |
Add a record | "Add Jordan Blake from Acme as a contact", or send a photo of a business card |
Dreamteam help | "What can Dreamteam do?" |
Between them, the skills look up, add and update deals, contacts and companies, add notes, and manage your own tasks. Most answers end with a short next step you can type back, such as draft reply to Northwind.
An email draft comes back in a box you can copy, and Dreamteam Sales never sends it. Paste it into Dreamteam and send it from there.
Permissions and security
Your Dreamteam permissions apply. If you cannot see a record in Dreamteam, Claude cannot see it either.
Nothing changes until you confirm. Before Claude adds or changes a record it shows you what will be saved, and it saves only once you have confirmed in writing.
No deleting, and no sending. Dreamteam Sales never deletes a record and never sends an email. Blocking
object_deletemakes sure nothing else in Claude can delete through the connector either. The plugin keeps no copy of your CRM data. What Claude reads appears in your chat, and your own Claude data settings cover your chats.
If something does not work
What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
Dreamteam Sales is not in Discover | Check you are on a paid plan. On Team and Enterprise, ask an Owner to make it available. |
Request where you expected a connect button | Your Owner has not added the Dreamteam CRM connector yet. Click Request, or ask them directly. |
Claude says it cannot reach Dreamteam | Check Dreamteam CRM is switched on in that chat, under + then Connectors. If the connector shows Reconnect, click it. |
Sign-in fails, or you are seeing another workspace's records | Go to Customize, then Connectors, then Dreamteam CRM, click Disconnect, then connect again and sign in to the right workspace. |
Good to know
You can pause it. Open the plugin and use its Disable plugin toggle to stop using it without removing it.
Removing the plugin does not disconnect it. Removing Dreamteam Sales leaves the Dreamteam CRM connector signed in. Disconnect that separately under Customize, then Connectors.
Already added Dreamteam as a custom connector? The plugin brings its own, so remove the custom one under Customize, then Connectors, to avoid two Dreamteam connections in the same chat.
Answers name your records but do not link to them. Open them in Dreamteam as usual.
Updates arrive on their own. There is nothing to accept when a new version of Dreamteam Sales is released.
For Team and Enterprise Owners
Three steps, and only the first two are needed.
Keep the directory available. In Organization settings, then Plugins & skills, make sure Anthropic's directory is a source and that Dreamteam Sales is set to Available to install. A directory plugin can be available or not available, and it cannot be installed for your members automatically.
Add the connector. In Organization settings, then Connectors, click Browse connectors, select Dreamteam CRM and click Add to your team.
Set tool permissions, if you want to. In Customize, then Connectors, then Dreamteam CRM, then Tool permissions, apply the settings above for the whole organisation. At a minimum, block
object_deleteandobject_batch.
Adding the connector signs nobody in. Each member connects their own Dreamteam account, so Claude only ever sees what that person can see in Dreamteam.
Claude is merging Plugins & skills and Connectors in Organization settings into a single Plugins group, so you may see that name instead.
